Our
Clonmara Cottages
At Clonmara Bed and Breakfast, in Port Fairy, we have 2 different
styles of romantic cottage that we can offer you;
Self contained Garden Cottages and self contained
Studio Apartments.
All of the accommodation at Clonmara has air conditioning for summer
and gas heating for winter. The accommodation is serviced daily
with bath towels changed, garbage removed, beds made and dishes
done; all you need to do is relax.
When you stay at the Clonmara cottages, cooked breakfasts and dinners
can be delivered to you in your accommodation if required. Wireless
internet access is available in Clonmara accommodation and in the
Tearoom.
If you require pet friendly accommodation please contact us directly
and not through the automated booking service.
Cherry Plum Cottages
Clonmara is pleased to be able to also offer two Heritage style
cottages; Cherry Plum Cottage and Arrondoon
Cottage.
Cherry Plum Cottages are located just 200m from the Clonmara Cottages
on an adjoining property.
These lovely old world cottages are self contained, very private
and set in an acre and a half of manicured cottage gardens surrounded
by lavender farm and a small Alpaca stud farm.
Decisions about breakfast can be varied. Choose from a breakfast
supplies pack that can be delivered on the evening of arrival if
ordered ahead; or full breakfast available from 9am in the Clonmara
Tearoom; or cater for yourself.
Clonmara
Garden Cottages
Two replicas of the original Clonmara Tearoom cottage, each with a
small private garden within over an acre of cottage gardens, offering
super huge bathrooms with spa bath, airconditioning and an open plan
living & sleeping area with a queen size bed. [more

Clonmara Studio Apartments
Our most recent addition. Two stunning studio apartments located within
the gardens, offering couples a unique level of comfort and luxury,
each including air conditioning, gas log fire, dvd player and of course,
a spa bath bathroom. [more info]
Arrondoon Cottage
Arrondoon is a two bedroom circa 1862 home built from Limestone and
Bluestone, typical of the early Port Fairy buildings. Set in a delightful
and peaceful garden setting Arrondoon offers one queen bed bedroom
and one double bed bedroom. [more info]
Cherry Plum Cottage
Cherry Plum Cottage is a three & a half star, one roomed timber
hideaway.
Cherry Plum offers seclusion and self contained comfort with
lovely outside sitting areas in the gardens. [more

Clonmara Garden Cottages
Our 2 four and a half star Garden
Cottages offer romantics a cosy and comfortable self contained
style of accommodation.
The bathroom is truly “super sized” with a large
corner style double spa bath, walk in shower that takes two,
and life's other necessities including body soap, shampoo, bath
crystals, hair drier and even a rubber duck.
The bedroom/living area is open plan and makes watching television
from either the sofa or the bed, a dream. The queen sized bed
is covered with a feather and down quilt, crisp percale sheets
and anti allergy pillows.
Flowing on from the bedroom area is a sofa & coffee table
and a gas fired pot belly stove for heating.
Around the corner is a dining area and kitchenette with microwave
and plunger coffee and tea making facilities.
All the crockery, cutlery
and glassware required should you decide to bring something
back to eat.
The fridge contains a mini bar for your convenience & we
provide filtered water for drinking.
There are menus from what our guests believe are the better
restaurants in Port Fairy.
Outside each garden cottage there is a private garden area,
with direct access through your French doors, allowing you to
sit and have a drink or read a book in the open air.

There is a basket of lollies supplied to the cottage for your
arrival and port and chocolates provided each night upon retiring. [return to top]
The two Studio Apartments are our most
recent addition and have been designed with a similar look and feel
to our original cottages and the rest of the property.
However, we have added what we believe are the essential that make
a stay in one of these quite memorable.
As you walk through the front door onto the slate floor lower level,
there is a feeling of space as the lofty cathedral ceiling rises above.
On this level there is the lounge area with a large remote control
TV and DVD player, a gas log fire, cosy settee and a tall bookshelf
that houses magazines, books and games.
The kitchenette has a comfortable dining table and chairs, microwave,
fridge, toaster and kettle, with all the necessary crockery, cutlery
& glassware.
Up a couple of stairs is the
bedroom area, separated by a dividing wall that is about a metre and
a half tall, offering a queen size bed with feather & down quilt
and individually controlled electric blanket.
The bedroom overlooks our own Alpaca paddocks through large glass
sliding doors that lead out onto your own private balcony, screened
to ensure privacy.
The bathroom entrance is to one side of the bedroom and is commensurate
with the standard of accommodation being offered.
There is a double corner spa bath and all the necessary inclusions
of bath crystals, body soap, shampoo, hair dryer and dressing gowns. [return to top]
Arrondoon
Cottage
Arrondoon is a fully self contained two
bedroom cottage, constructed of course limestone with Bluestone quoins.
It has been sensitively renovated to ensure that the feel of the original
cottage is still there while catering for the needs of todays travellers.
Arrondoon offers a queen bed in the main bedroom and a comfortable
double bed in the second bedroom. The cosy lounge has an electric
flame heater, lounge chairs and sofa, TV with DVD and CD player, and
a supply of books and boardgames for the longer stay.
The bathroom services both bedrooms and has a full bath, shower and
toilet.
The renovated kitchen/dining area is old world to remind you of years
gone by and is a delight, with fridge, microwave, small electric stove
for cooking and all of the other kitchen essentials provided for meal
preparation.
Fresh ground coffee and loose leaf tea is supplied, as are complimentary
port and chocolates to help you relax.
Laundry facilities and a BBQ area are available and shared with Cherry
Plum Cottage.
Please note that because Cherry Plum Cottage and Arrondoon are
part of a working Alpaca Stud farm, this property is not able to
accept bookings with children or pets of any sort.
Cherry Plum Cottage is a three and a half
star spacious one room timber cottage.
Cherry Plum offers seclusion and comfort with all the basic essentials,
including a comfortable double bed with electric blanket and an ensuite
bathroom. The lovely lounge area has a cosy sofa with TV and DVD player,
electric heating and a ceiling fan.
The kitchenette has a microwave and fridge, toaster, coffee and tea
making facilities, dishwasher, crockery and cutlery. An iron and ironing
board are provided as well as all linen and the smaller neccessities
such as shampoo, conditioner and soap.
Cherry Plum Cottage has its
own little verandah with comfy chairs to sit on, as well as a picnic
table and chairs in the general garden area.
Cherry Plum cottage can offer shared laundry and BBQ facilities with
its neighbouring cottage Arrondoon.
Both Arrondoon and Cherry Plum Cottages have off street parking.
Please note that because Cherry Plum Cottage and Arrondoon are
part of a working Alpaca Stud farm, this property is not able to
accept bookings with children or pets of any sort.
